Our month so far has involved swimming lessons for Rune, a Jimmy Eat World concert and a trip to San Diego.
Another highlight (lowlight?) would be Broc breaking his leg wakeboarding. I have to admit that considering his hobbies, I can't believe this is the first time in 7 years I have had to take my husband to the emergency room. And it was only his fibula.Last weekend I took a trip to San Francisco with my Girls. This trip has been on the books since we graduated 10 years ago. At the risk of sounding cheesy: I can't get over how much I love these girls and how precious it is to have memories from elementary through high school continuing through the awkward dating years, and now we have wrinkles, sun spots (a new fun one), and 12 and a half kids between us. And yet we can still manage to annoy every person within hearing distance when we get together. Think gaggle of geese mixed with shrieking. For all the details, and some really unflattering pictures of me, go to Raquel's blog.

Birthdays and Bikes

My baby learned to ride a bike! Broc and I were as proud as parents can be when he took off riding by himself. Every morning the first thing he says is "I wanna ride my bike." Rune's bike riding milestone was a great birthday present for another big milestone. Broc turned 30! I considered it a special enough occasion to bake. I did a twist on an old favorite and made Dr. Pepper cake. Man, I would like some of it right now.
Life is great and I am getting excited for our 10 year Reunion on Saturday and all our summer plans. Good times.
