Summer is finally here. A lot of people in Seattle complain about June weather, but you will hear no complaints from me.
After celebrating the summer solstice (with the sun behind clouds):
We spent a weekend in Portland for some donut time,
Some downtown time,
Some epic people watching,
Some playing in the mud,
And just enough time to enjoy the City of Roses at its finest.
Back at home, Rune tried out his new bike at Duthie Hill
And then we got some Grandma time, including a visit to Port Townsend
And a little kayaking around Alki.
To finish off the month, Dagny and I visited Mt. Teneriffe. I recommend the hike to the falls, but the ascent after them is best left to mountain goats and crazy people.
And while the girls got in a hike, Rune & Broc lived it up at Fathers and Sons.
Finally, here is the sunset from Eddie Vedder's backyard. (well... technically by his yard)
